As soon as the Keyboard Command is placed in the line
<action name="v_siren" onPress="1" onRelease="1" xboxpad="xi_a" />
eg:
<action name="v_siren" onPress="1" onRelease="1" keyboard="p" xboxpad="xi_a" />
" the above line used to work, Pressing P made Siren go, before latest patch "
the E key to open doors would stop working.
Yes before this last patch I had it going on P and it worked great as well, but as soon as this patch came out it stopped and if I implimented it as in my last post it stopped the E key from working.
@Enigma - or any one else :)
If you get the E and the siren going without any probs, can you post your entire prototypeactionmap.xml "contents " here please.
I think I better get to bed its nearly 4am and my eyes are falling out :)
I had not realised.
Changing this line
<action name="v_siren" onPress="1" onRelease="1" xboxpad="xi_a" />
To this
<action name="v_siren" onPress="1" onRelease="1" keyboard="p" xboxpad="xi_a" />
The "P" can be changed to any unused key you would like to use.
Now everything works fine, Siren, "E" and all other commands.
I for the life of me can not fathom why in Multiple weeks the game developers can not add 11 Letters into the Script file to get the Siren to work [ keyboard="p" ], they just rewrote part of the script file for the latest patch and still did not put it in.
Yeah maybe, the guy thats working on the PC side was bought in by the way they first mentioned him, so maybe he has not realised its there, but thats still a bit shoddie because they must have a list of what all the keys in the game do, and the commands to implement them.
They still have not even fixed the Headlights Flare being too bright, It just seems like 99% of the resources are being used elsewhere and the other 1% is just being used to keep us happy, there are so many basic script and command changes that should take a few confident programmers days to iron out.
I know there are lots of things they are probably working on and that, but there are just so many things that just need a tweak to work properly, and in a logical way that is what you would do fix the things that take 5 minutes first and then fix the things that takes 2 hours later " unless it was something that was gamebreaking, then you would fix that first ".
Yeah I am not really compalining " even though it sounds like it :)", I do think its a great game " although crippled to fit on XBOX " I am positive there are only one or sometimes two guys working on the PC version, and that the main Focus has been on the DLC, and that is fine as they must consider the DLC as there main soon to be Income for the Company, I just cant figure out why there are so many tiny things that should have been fixed not implemented.
