Is there an option in-game to disable blood?

Why would you want to disable blood in a game, where you blow off, bash in, cut off zombie heads and limbs, get tore apart with your intestines visible, search houses full of chewed to bones corpses and such?

Because not everyone is as desensitized to blood as you are.

Im fine with Sex. Im fine with drugs. Im fine with Violence and language. Heck I play Dota 2. Its once a game has close-up gore I get sick. :P

Project Zombiod, Dayz or you know, the crappy War Z.

No, there is no option to remove blood/gore in-game and chances are low there ever will.

Perhaps there would be some sort of mod/hack to clean the game of the explicit violence someday, though I would not count on it, if you dislike gore you should avoid this game...

Okay sorry, but I tought it was evident...

edit: there might be a way to change the color of blood. But there are still a lot of other gore elements not related to blood.

Yeah there is not any option to turn off blood.
But why would you buy a zombie game if you dont like Blood and guts ?

Zombie games have accomplished without having gore.
Project Zombiod, Dayz or you know, the crappy War Z.

hasn't Project Zomboid got half the screen ground covered in blood ?

And it is my personal preferance. I will not limitmyself to no gore, but I would like to know before I pay money for it.

Yeah thats fine, I was not having a go at you, too each there own.
It just sounds strange to want to play a zombie game, if you do not like blood.

I just had a quick look into the Particles.pak file, if you are confident in editing things there may actually be a way to remove blood and gore from the game.

I just came across a crossbow and rockets "sidewinder" in one of the pack files as well ?

Browse 4 chans random board for a month, don't wimp out. Eventually you'll desensitize yourself. Just keep a bucket on hand if it makes you sick at first. It'll be worth it in the long run if animated blood russles your jimmies that badly. Or look on the store page for what the game is rated for and pay attention to the "Blood" and "Gore" markers.
