Bugged Quest "Sgt Erik Tan" -- stops mission progression

I want to play this great game through to completion, but the story missions have stopped coming after the "Sgt Erik Tan" mission.

I helped the Army blow up the NW bridge gate. After that the mission came to a sudden end. From reading walkthrus online, it seems another waypoint was supposed to spawn to meet the Army at but this never happened. The Army setup an Enclave in the fairgrounds, but they don't give me any missions and just generic greetings.

It's been about a week in-game with no new story missions. I've seen a few other posts on this forum regarding the same circumstances on this specific mission, so I don't think I'm alone on this.

Any suggestions?

I know this thread and game is old, but I had this same bug and found a stupid solution. After we blow up the gate I get a checkpoint that says "check out the fairgrounds" leading you to some military tents. For whatever reason the soldiers stopped following me. Not wanting to restart my game, I physically pushed Sgt Tan to the objective point. I ♥♥♥♥ you not, it worked.
