Oh I see , it saves when it wants to and you can't , great idea. We can't be trusted.

Nah... It's pretty much confirmed that you are.

What with you insulting another user for explaining the developers rationale.

Have fun with the game. If you're able to without save scumming.

Shouldn't you be playing Call of Duty on the 360, kid? There are a bunch of other 14 year olds you can insult and pretend you are the coolest smartest guys in the world with.

The "permanent decisions" is a rly good feature, making you fail and learn a lesson, so that next time ya dont do it (ofc not all games may that feature work, imagine fallout 3 xd)

@OP if a character is going to die you can hit alt+f4 but only do it before he dies. Since there is no story and it is completely sandbox I don't see why you would want to save and then load everytime sth goes wrong, random negative events and freak accidents is part of the charm of State of Decay. You do not have to succeed in every mission and losing a survivor or two is to be expected especially in the later levels.

It was ommitted by the developers , Microsoft has their name on it , why not include such a simple option as to save your place in a game. Sandbox or no Sandbox I want tto have my bucket and shovel where I left them in the same place, Maybe you can't play for a couple hours just so the game will save your place for you. Who likes starting over and over again from the same spot? I have hundreds of games , this one is kind of fun but gets boring if you play it too long, it's not all that epic. But it's new to me , i just recently bought it and saving my place is no different from putting a book mark in a book, It's a simple thing.

... the autosave p%$£ed me off at first, but I soon got to enjoy the perma-death. Your characters become more valuable and you have to play much more carefully - pretty much like you would in real life. Basically you are playing for higher stakes.

Agree with everything you've written there, and losing a character can be pretty devastating - which it would be if this was real life...
