Report a translation problem
first thing i always do is create an outpost radius around my base. if you set it up right you never have to worry about hordes attacking your home.
See here for an example of protecting your base with outposts. In this case it is Snyders warehouse in Marshall. Oh and don't forget to push the button to fuel your outposts up which sets the booby traps. This needs to be redone every so often you'll know when as the circles around the outposts will shrink back to the orignal size when fuel runs out.

and here's another thing about npc like Lily equipping a pistol all the time so she shot slowly at hordes but as soon as the horde came close to the gate, she started blasting fast as if she was using a machine gun! lol

Everytime when a horde spawns it explodes instantly, so i don't worry about it
