Zombie hordes attacking home

Does anybody have this issue too when the zombie hordes are spawning always near home?

first thing i always do is create an outpost radius around my base. if you set it up right you never have to worry about hordes attacking your home.

See here for an example of protecting your base with outposts. In this case it is Snyders warehouse in Marshall. Oh and don't forget to push the button to fuel your outposts up which sets the booby traps. This needs to be redone every so often you'll know when as the circles around the outposts will shrink back to the orignal size when fuel runs out.

One time, in the church , the first outpost you get in the normal game. One of the survivors got up in the watch tower and was using a shotgun to snipe zombies. It was so loud that every shot notified like 10 to 15 more zombies. Pretty soon the whole place was overrun with 100's of zombies. I should have switched to that survivor and had her put the gun back in the safe and get a new one, but I didnt think of that.

Albert, I did the same thing switching my npc "Sam Hofflman" from a shotgun to a rifle and next game I log in she had it switched back to shotgun again! I guess she likes to be loud!!
and here's another thing about npc like Lily equipping a pistol all the time so she shot slowly at hordes but as soon as the horde came close to the gate, she started blasting fast as if she was using a machine gun! lol

I have a few outposts in each town and one at the farm in the middle just so i can drop off resources. I never though to make a safe zone :/

i never had a horde spawn nere my home.but i did have a infection spawn nere homexDmy tips:1.dont give the watch tower guy a loud gun.2.its fine to let him have the defult.i did it and it went fine.3.use cars to kill hordes.4.give the watchtower guy a surppreser

Everytime when a horde spawns it explodes instantly, so i don't worry about it
