Can't complete infestation

I'm playing the normal State of Decay game (not Breakdown) and I got a random "Clear the Infestation" mission, as I often do. I went to meet up with one of the survivors that was supposed to help me clear it out, but he decided he was just going to stand in place and do nothing. I figured, "what the hell? I don't need him" and ran off to clear it myself. I did just that, although, upon killing the Screamer and clearing the area, I noticed that the quest didn't complete. I tried running all over, killing all zombies within the area and still nothing.

I decided that it must have something to do with Mr. Jackass who doesn't move or (apparently) aggro any zombies. Basically, all he does is stand there and headshot zombies (with 100% accuracy, mind you), but only if they get within like 5 feet of him. I even tried getting him to jump out of the way by driving a truck at him, but that basically worked as though I had hit tree or some other solid object.

So, I'm basically just stuck here, not able to switch characters or quit without losing all of the progress I made after clearing the infestation (which was no small amount) and seemingly no way to fix the problem. I looked around for anyone else having this glitch and only found problems with people having multiple, unmarked infestations at the campgrounds for several patches ago.

TLDR: Does anyone know how to get a character (or mission) unstuck that's frozen in place and can't aggro, without just restarting the game?

I got this problem quite often. In many cases it is just some Screamer that like to wander somewhere and in rare cases it is just Zeds that glitched into wall without any traces. In the latter case it is possible to finish Infestation with Steel Pipe Bombs.

Well, I don't know what the hell happened, but upon revisting the guy that was frozen in place, he was suddenly back to normal. He got in my truck and it spawned another infestation for us to clear. We did it and it completed. Such strange bugs this game has.

And here it is again. Same type of mission, different person and different place. Has anyone figured out a way to reliably fix this? Last time I just continued doing random stuff for a bit and when I went back to the person, it fixed itself. This time, it's been WAY longer and I really hate having to load and lose my progress, but I'm going to have to. If no one knows of a way to work around it, I suppose I'll just have to skip the infestation mission and just clear them as normal infestations.

Just handle 'em by yourself. Vanilla infestations are cake. Also, I suggest a couple of helpful molotovs tossed first into a window where ( if you can spot the Screamer is ) before they really seet ya. Thins the herd wonderfully.

Yeah. Hopefully the game doesn't do something stupid like kill off the other survivor because I didn't meet up with them. It likes to do funny things like that. And that's exactly what I like to do with most infestations. =) A grenade will REALLY clear up the place, but they're a bit harder to get.
