Help: Cant get "lone Soldier" to start

Hi all.
Been playing for a few hours now after the Sgt. Erik Tan mission.
And i should be getting the lone soldier mission but nothing happens. :/

Any idea on how to force the mission to pop up ? Seems i am stuck story wise and will not be able to finish the game.

I dont know with other player, I always got military mission (mainly given by Sgt. Erik Tan) as soon as I switch to Maya. If i dont switch to her, i never got the mission prompt, only baby sitting and normal quest. This happend 3 times, since i re-do the main game 3 times due to noob experience lol.

note:
it appears the game is "stuck" in a day. day-night cycle still works, but the caches in the enclaves never change or refill. i read that those should have changing contents but they are empty for many days now ( i cleared them out to check). so maybe there is a internal day counter that runs down and is just bugged.

Happened to me too, I wrote thread about my solution but it is lost.

In short, you are probably at warehouse, right ? It seems that old watchtower bug is still here, but in different sense. Try to go on watchtower and shot one zombie. You should start progress further after that (get call from sgt.)

Please let me know is that worked for you, or that was just coincidence in my game, and not real solution.

Maybe that happend if you ignore his request to scout the area. Before main quest, he usually asked to go to certain scout tower and do scout for zed. After that go booom..boom,, and not long you got the main quest.

Nope, I was scouting for him. Then he destroyed some hordes, but progress did not start until I started to shot zeds from watchtower. I am really interested will that work for others. If you google you will find lots of people with that problem, but no solution, most of them restarted game and hoped for the best in next playtrough. For some progress stoped even before that quest. I guess game is waiting for something or not registering something, and that is maybe connected with watchtower.

At least that is what helped me to finish the game.

p.s.

My watchtower didn't look glitched, NPCs were going there and shooting, one was up when I come. I was just bored because no progress and I was thinking about uninstall the game but 1st shot some zeds for fun (I hate games with gamebreaking bugs, every run is like lottery), and then miracle happened, call from sgt. after 1 killed zed :))

That is why I am interested is that just coincidence or maybe solution for many people who stucked in progress.

well for me always maya. Never climb to my my watchtower/shooting platform.

I have the same problem. Right now, I use Maya and shoot a few zombies from watch tower but so far haven't got the call from the sgt. What now ?

i tried both:

ran around with maya and turned her into a coffee junkee. - nothing

climbed on the tower and shot zombies - nothing

used another survivor on the tower - nothing

well... guess thats it :/
Really emberassing for a game when the MAIN STORY LINE is bugged .

Have you chked their offical forums ?

If you are using one of the time-affecting mods like ZombieStandardTime, you need to let it actually progress to the next day. When the daily reset doesn't happen, you don't get outpost resources or spend maintenace resources, heal, recover from sickness, repair cars or weapons... and there is a maximum missions per day.
