sod is gta with zombies
7d2d is more like minecraft with zombies
In SoD, it's more about surviving with a community than managing a inventory. You have to keep them healthy and alive, without them, no one can survive. The game is filled with side quests, meaningful scavenging, side characters, RPG elements, random events, replayability, difficulty, and unforgiving brutality. This is the only zombie game I've played where I actually feel like I'm surviving.I actually feel like if I ♥♥♥♥ up I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ UP. I have not found zombie killing more satisfying in any game besides SoD. In fact, this is the best gore I've EVER seen. Brain chunks, rib cages remain intact while inards fly out from a shotgun blast, heads explode as they are thwacked by the tip of your valve pipe, legs blown off, arms dismembered, crunching of your spine as a Juggernaut executes you it's really a trip.. And it's backed up by 10/10 combat sound design (particuarly on the weapon sound design). There are great characters, great interctions, INSANELY WONDERFUL survival choices and tactics, base building, resource managment, awesome loot, high octane situations and other adventures that I haven't even begun to explore. This game took me 20 hours to complete. It is big, it bangs, and it is WELL worth the price. Especially on sale.
