How to install State of Decay 2 patch?

Because the Microsoft Store is garbage and there is no forum, this is the only forum for State of Decay 2. Can someone tell me how to install the new patch? I cant play with my friends, because they got the new version and i dont...

Go to the microsoft store, in your account click on library and then updates and sod2 will be on that and then click on update to download the patch.

Thx, but there is only "Apps" and "Games", no "updates". If i click on State of Decay 2 i only get to the Store page

Do you have State of decay 2: Ultimate Edition (Pre Order Package)
If so

Go trugh State of decay 2 standard edition-
Here you should be able to start your DL/game. It did work for me.
I have taken contact with support about this issue, you could also do that. (pre order edition have that extra game so it is not fixed in to the "normal" ultimate edition trugh ms store, Even if we have it and own it already)

If you have standard or normal ultimate Edition, i'm out of ideas :)

I got the normal pre-order edition. I can play, but i cant update. Sucks if u wanna play with friends who got the update...

Ok i found the solution. I'm actually having the new version, which is 1.316. My friend just patched his version from 1.317 to 1.316. Looks like you have to downgrade your game to update it. That store is more than just confusing...

But as i tried to joined him, the game said he had the newer version. He tried to join me, and the game said i got the older version. VERY confusing...

The store is unintuitive, they should make it easy to find, but it's not. Not sure why it's not showing for you, I have ultimate edition and I found it under library which you get to by clicking on the three dots up the top next to profile and it lists downloads and updates. But Iam using the Sydney store, so maybe other countries stores are different?

This is the only reason I have not purchased this game. If it comes out on Steam I will buy it in a second, but I really like Steam and pretty much stick to it for my games

So can anyone please put up a step by step guide on buying and installing the game to get more players involved??

Open your Microsoft Store (it should be installed on ur PC already).
Search for "State of Decay 2" and click on buy. Follow the steps.
After you bought it, you can install it in the Store.
In order to play with friends you also need to start the Xbox-App and add your friends there. There is a search button to find your friends.

I refunded it, buggy and broken, if it ever hits steam ill reconsider.
