state of decay 2 HDR on pc?
Does anyone know if state of decay 2 is HDR on pc? I have HDR enabled in windows but there’s no HDR settings showing within the game like it does on xbox. I have read everywhere but can’t find anything apart from the ms store saying its on windows 10 with the HDR logo as well as saying it’s HDR compatible.

It’s got me thinking this is another game that’s been done away with on pc for HDR which is sad really!! to see the games at there best on pc with HDR enabled is awesome!.

Put your desktop resolution up to, let's say 4k. The game will use that resolution as it mimic your desktop resolution per auto.

Yeah! I don't know if the pc has hdr settings for this game or if it's automatically adjusted for us in windows? Because HDR seems to take effect when the game comes on. It's a strange one!.

I don't know if it's real game hdr or it's just the tv taking over and giving me it's fake hdr.

How is SoD2 on your PC? I'm considering getting it on PC as SoD2 on Xbox is disgustingly terrible. So bad I actually regret buying it on console.

If you own it on console, you own it on pc. Just goto windows 10 store, ensure youre logged into your microsoft xbox account, download it.

You have to use the app in windows 10 start menu to access the store

it runs pretty smooth, i do get drops down to the 40’s in some areas though so it needs more optimisation!.

it’s a lot better than consoles, so youll get a better experience with any game on pc compared to console.

it's nothing to do with the store, it's to do with HDR support for this game.

it's nothing to do with the resolution, The game already has the desktop resolution in the settings, it's all to do with HDR.

If i had to guess, yes, pc has HDR. It would be very odd for the signifivantly more powerful system to not have the better graphics. However, with a short google search, nvidia had something about there being an issue they are working to correct involving pc hdr

i know what you mean by hdr. The only option you have in game are gamma change. you can change the light/dark/gamma/ Color, digital vibrance and so on from graphic card control panel.

what i meant was when you bring up your resolution the game also put it to that resolution. now when i bring up my resolution to let's say 4x, The look of the game becomes like night and day. All the small details becomes much more clear, and in general everything pops out much more clearer. Game gets so much more beautiful instead of, let's say i have a standard resolution at 1920x1080 (wich is not bad per say.)
Here i'm are not realy depended on have AA to smooth out jagged and pixelated edges. wich in turn save me donkey-load of fps +. this helps also with the qualité of the picture. even if this is not a HDR per say.

well according to online less than 50% of hdr games come to pc since developers think windows is to buggy when it comes to hdr and also hdr monitors aren't mainstream enough. There has been tech reviewers showing the issues of strange pink screen ect while hdr is enabled but there was an article saying nvidia wants to fix the issue.

So I know games like sea of theives, rise of the tomb raider and a lot of others haven't got the hdr support on pc so I'm thinking sod2 is the same.

I have tried dsr with state of decay 2 and it looks really good. same with the 4k tv it looks very good also, I just wish it had the hdr!. It's really annoying why devs are not supporting hdr on pc, they say it's because hdr monitors aren't main stream but there is still people like us that have hdr tvs, that can easily play our pc games on, whats the harm in adding the hdr in anyway, it doens't hurt anybody and it's there for the people who do have the hdr tvs and monitors to play on.

True, i don't believe it is a big adjustment for them to do so. i believe it all comes down to budget. And where to cut corners.
