We need this title to succeed! - SERIOUSLY!
2 years ago I showcased the FLAT version of this game in a VR headset using VorpX. (VorpX converts a flat image into a 3D image that looks close to natural VR when running in a VR headset) As a result of that video and a few other VR content Creators making similar videos, the Developer of this game saw its potential and worked on THIS VR version for over 2 years.
IF You want to see MORE developers adding VR to their games, then we need to show them that we WILL support them!
I do know of another FLAT horror game that is getting a VR mode, again as a result of a few of us playing their FLAT game in VR with VorpX/Reshade.
Enjoy the game fam!

Yeaah! If You want to support the devs leave them a positive Review here on steam. That help them :D

Just posted the launch trailer on VR and Index SubReddits - but I have not tested the game yet. Normally I do not post before I'm sure it's top quality, but PSVR2 Gamers Without Parole rated the game a flawless 10/10.

Only 6/10 positives on Steam right now, being a 2D port could be a real issue, but didn't bother me in RE4 Remake VR using the PSVR2.

Random steam reviews (especially at low numbers) are not indicative of whether you'll like a game or not, at least not for me. One of the negative reviews mentioned it's not HLA ... well duh, if you rate every game comparing it to HLA you'll end up giving a negative review for most good VR games. Another negative review mentioned that the game ran well for them, but was unoptimized. Another review (in french) says the game doesn't save after an hour of gameplay, but there are several auto-saves and you can see when the game auto-saves (it is possible they experienced a bug). The last one I saw was in Japanese, they said you can't change settings during gameplay, but you can.

So like I've said in the past, there's no such thing as a bad review as long as the person is being honest about their opinion and don't put inaccurate information in the review. However, Steam reviewers are notorious for having inaccuracies or just reviews based on limited information or with unrealistic expectations (comparing this game to HLA is unrealistic). Anyways, I would put zero confidence in random Steam reviews.

Another negative review says "+ Holy f##k this game is scary. This really is the scariest VR game I've ever played or seen."
wtf.ff man. How can someone say that and at the same time give it a negative review? lol
Obviously there are some things to improve, but if the game made you feel that kind of terror, the rest doesn't matter much to you anymore.
It more than fulfills the immersion and horror experience that is what you are looking for in a game like this.

This is wild. The game is not that great. There are serious problems. I'm getting really annoyed at the obvious platform bias I see here all the time. The VR community is borked if you guys can't look at things objectively instead of planting your flag in PCVR or PSVR camps and then pretendning your version is great just because you want to win some imaginary platform war.

If the game has problems it has problems! Stop with this TOXIC POSITIVITY

Overselling VR really backfires when people have high expectations and they aren't met, they dont come back to VR EVER. STOP OVER HYPING THIS STUFF!!!

Look at all the thumbs up with only 45 mins played in the reviews!! WTF is wrong with you guys?!! The VR community HAS to be wondering why VR isn't a thing yet??? NO?!?!? HELLO?????!

I'm not really that down on the dev. After the quality I've seen over 5 years of being in VR, this is just the usual jank we always get. What DOES piss me off is the VR community acting like it doesn't exist and over selling this stuff.

To the outside user it looks like NONE OF US notice the flaws and it makes them think it'll never get better because we all make it look like we think it's awesome the way it is!! It's not!

This is TOXIC positivity!!

well said bro lol there's the usual clout chasing suspects on here with main character syndrome...the game has potential but it has major flaws, whenever I purchase a VR title, and I can't even crouch to pickup a necessary object in order to progress further into the game,it's a major red flag...

You need to stand up and then adjust height - or playing seated I constantly got the wrong height.

The game is beyond awesome to me - using Rift CV1 and Index. So far I've found no errors - beyond the seated height.

you are living on another planet. your standards don't exist. If the game isn't on Quest, it's the greatest thing since sliced bread to you dude. How are you so blind??
-(HANG TRUMP)- May 3, 2024 @ 2:58pm
the controls are beyond garbage. and if we'd have made more of a fus about it sooner maybe there'd be standardized controls for VR already implimented in Unreal and Unity engine or maybe Valve would have done something for Steam VR to standardize controls or help smooth the jank.
-(HANG TRUMP)- May 3, 2024 @ 2:59pm
And I'm starting to realize since some of the people here just don't touch quest games, that they have no idea what good controls are sposed to feel like. They're happy playing on their super old headsets, tethered to their PCs looking through screen doors probably seated.

Clout chasing? On PCVR? I only cover PCVR games and if I was clout chasing, the last thing I would cover is only PCVR games. And I do plenty of negative reviews. But I've literally played thousands of VR games so I have some perspective on what is and what is not a good VR game.

There's also a flaw in your logic. You don't need to crouch to pick up any object in this game as you can force grab any object and that's how items on the floor are intended to be picked up. Also, you can easily adjust height from the menu with the height adjustment setting or just by pressing up or down on the directional keypad on your keyboard. But again, crouching down to pick up an object is not a thing in this game.

I'm so happy and thankful Paradise Decay is showing games in vorpx and showing these developers they're games can be much better in vr. This is really a masterpiece of a horror game in vr. Only in vr can you experience true terror and fear people crave in horror. I just hope more developers start producing more vr horror games like this because it can be so much better in vr.
