So... what do the individual console versions do?
If you get one of the console versions (xbox, playstation, switch, etc.), what does that do for you? It just runs the game? And then you still need the separate phone device to control the game, right? You can't simply use the native controller?

And then... this might be a dumb question but... how do you then stream from the console?

Can xbox, switch, etc. stream easily? I've never seen it done.

Yes, if you get it on a console, you still use the phone ad a controller, as the game is built around it, it's a very nice app.
Here's a guide from the devs on various methods of remote play https://steamcommunity.com/app/2414270/eventcomments/600776353252446085?snr=2_9_100003_

Yes, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles can stream directly to Discord. You can link your Xbox account to Discord and then stream your gameplay to Discord voice channels, DMs, or group DMs. This allows you to chat with your Discord friends while streaming your Xbox games

Switch is a little different, doesnt have native support to do that. More meant for the couch coop experience. But if you want to use the switch to stream to discord or something you would need a capture control device on your pc, then stream it from the pc. But then, if you have a PC you might as well just buy the game on the PC

Same goes for Playstation

Anyone know if the PS5 version needs PS+? The game does require internet after all, right?
PS5 would be a a bit more comfortable for my setup.
