Modern themes?
The subject asking this very question was locked without being answered (which may, in itself, be an answer), so hopefully I can get an answer before this gets locked as well.

Will this stick to cool, light-hearted fantasy or will "modern themes" permeate the experience? Yes, I mean left-leaning, progressive themes. Considering the price, I would like to make an informed decision to buy this game or not. This looks very interesting but any "modern themes" would not go over very well in my friend group and would most likely kill our immersion and fun.

No hate, but looking for a straight answer (no pun intended).

Is your friend hiding some kind of homophobia or racism behind the term 'modern themes'?
No hate, just asking.

Light vs darkness, animals vs monsters - Don't worry, the themes are abstracted to not cross your delicate sensibilities
It's a furry game bro. Why u even here? Furry-Curious I guess?

No, most of us are just tired of the pandering to stuff that simply has no place nor effect on a video game other than filler and immersion-breaking absurdity to fit some DEI quota.

I'm enjoying AC: Shadows, but that doesn't mean I like playing an extra-tall black man who no one seems to notice and who had zero actual historic impact in a game that traditionally used fictional main characters to allow for 'plausible' interactions with real people instead of pandering to some idiotic need to DEI everything no matter how detrimental it is to whatever is affected. It literally causes me to stop playing after an hour or so because it makes such little sense the game becomes just a combat simulator instead of a person being able to actually give a ♥♥♥♥ about the story.

Same reason movies fail these days, too much pandering to the "I need to be supported and accepted" crowd. No one has to support you, and no one has to accept you, that's life, especially when your demands include things that are literally mental sickness.

If has no content relevant to your aggressive virtue signalling that should trigger your precious friend group into a bigger meltdown than you are already having.

I underestimated how easily lefties are triggered by simple questions. I have seen the dev answer other topics but not this one. Considering they locked the last "is it woke?" thread without giving an answer, I'll assume this isn't a good fit for us and move on. Thanks!

Imagine posting this and not being embarrassed.
This is the thinking of an insecure child.

Hello!
Just to be clear, what themes are you looking to avoid? I want to make sure I can check in-game to see what you want to avoid. Thank you!

Anytime you see the tags "modern audience" or "modern themes" on a video game, it means woke so there's going to be a lot of bias.

It's clearly an attempt to cash in on peoples addiction to their phones, it will probably make a profit, but wont last for years like a quality video game.

Nah, those are the purview of leftists.

Gender ideology, forced diversity, anything that would break immersion for the sake of a political or progressive message that would not have its place in a light-hearted fantasy setting.

The game is about a crow, a salamander, a bear, a dear, a ferret and a bat…
Is it too much inclusive for you?
