The idea of the game seems good, but the gameplay still looks like an alpha. The handling of the cars was a little too realistic and too slippery. Minigames in arcades are interesting, but the camera should stay fixed during interaction to help you see what is happening. One more thing, the target audience for this game is very different from Retrowave, since this is a bit of a "GTA MMO", it doesn't bring the same feeling of relaxation
The game is very cool and I'm looking forward to the release of this game! My suggestions are to add swimming dolphins to the dream island map, add music in the chillwave genre, the bright performers of this genre are (in my opinion) Hotel Pools, A.L.I.S.O.N, Oddling, voyage. More artists and tracks in this genre can be found on the YouTube channels: Electronic Games and Definition of Chill.
Also you may be able to make/done a map in the style of chillwave.
All the best!
Have you thought about a scoring system yet? I have arthritis and while playing Retrowave, I have to pause the game and rest my hands.
I thought it would be nice if stopping the car and exiting to walk around, or entering the arcade would pause the score keeping.
And like in GTA, the car's radio stops playing when you shut the car off and get out. Or, it changes to a different theme...
Maybe also a hardcore mode where these options are disabled.
Cheers!
Hi! An artist in the style of Electronic Gems will be available in the game. A large number of world styles will be available, don't worry :) Thanks for your feedback and support!
Hi! Thank you for your suggestions, we have just added axis reverse to the game, not yet available in the demo but we added it :) Thank you for your support!
"my eyes bleed" very descriptive and constructive
This is a primitive racing simulator with “destruction physics.” Despite its simplicity, the game turned out to be very funny and became popular, but, unfortunately, it does not have multiplayer. Surely you could do something similar in the style of Retrowave (not now, but someday later - after finishing your work on Retrowave World), but only with a multiplayer mode - and it would be very cool and such a game would probably be very popular. Such a game could be called, for example, "Retrowave: racing for survival" or "Retrowave: vehicular combat game" (or anything else at your discretion). You already have extensive and successful experience in creating racing games with a good multiplayer mode, so creating such a game will probably not cause you much difficulty. Think about it in your spare time, ok?
2. And to see what music playing, and block same of them, like the "EA tracks" feature in Burnout Paradise.
3. Gaz station to refill.
4. Will there be races (as shown in the CGI trailler)? What about gaz station to feel the gaz tank?
5. If there's pnj traffic, it would be nice to be able to desactivate it, at least in free roaming.
Have a nice day!
First is that the game feels like its running in slow motion and almost has a moon gravity affect that makes the game feel a little clunky, the car physics are okay but feels like your driving on ice with little to no traction, and the unrealistic acceleration further supports the weird slo-mo feel, its also not very optimized, I run a very capable setup and in high and very high it definitely chugs. I loved the first Retrowave and look forward to seeing Retrowave World's full release!
