Can you enter the Quarantine Zone yet?

Howdy!
Just as the title says. If you know you know.
If you don't know, this is where spoilers start.

So, in act 2, you are able to go to the Shadowquarter of Footfall. In the Shadow Quarter, there is a group of men that are in shoddy Hazmat suits and blowing stuff up with flamethrowers. Pretty standard stuff.
Going up to them and telling them you want to go in the quarantine zone, they will say something along the lines of "Lol. Lmao. No. Go ask our boss the Liege."

So a ton of side quests later, I finally go to see the Liege and he says he will instruct his men to open up a path to let you go inside. It's one of many things you can tell him or ask him to do if you spend the time to explore, you really should do that if you haven't met him yet.

So I walk back that way, do a couple quests on the way, and when I get to them they say "Yep, we are working on getting a path clear. Just give us some time. :)"

But uh... I'm almost out of stuff to do, I think. I have a quest that wants me to scan 20 planets and one to make contact with a planet I don't think is in the game yet. I don't think there is a way to pass the time currently either. I remember you could sleep in the Alpha, but don't see that option in the Beta. So have I gotten to the stopping point with this quest until there is an update, or is my save just wonky and I have to start over?

Have you gotten to Chapter 3 yet? I keep restarting so I haven't actually gotten that far, but read a lot about it. That would be a good indicator on if we can go into it or not.

my guys ran through the gate into the quarantine zone. LOL. I was like... is it a bug? I tried it many times and they just ran through it. so.... I have no idea

In the beta I think this opened up when you take your farm colony, Janus, back and are able to get food to Footfall.
