CRIMES & PUNISHMENTS: DISCOVER THE DARKER SIDE OF LONDON IN NEW TRAILER 'PRETTY LITTLE CRIMES'

His skills, your wits!

Having explored some of Holmes' skills in previous gameplay videos of Crimes & Punishments - your new investigation game coming from September 30 on PS4®, PS3®, Xbox One®, Xbox 360® and PC - Frogwares and Focus Home Interactive today introduce the complexity of not the cases, but the characters of Crimes & Punishments. It is a trailer about empathy, blame, and punishment - not of the suspect, but of Sherlock himself, as he lives with the decisions made throughout the game.

Crimes & Punishments introduces moral changes to the Sherlock Holmes series. Not only are you charged with selecting the suspect who committed the crime, but also what to do with him, either handing him to the police or empathizing with his or her situation, setting them free after a dressing down in true Holmes style. Not only can you commit any of up to five suspects, but you can also commit two - then, your moral choice will follow, and their fate will be left in your hands, with all the responsibility on your conscience.

You can watch our previous gameplay trailers here, and, if you wish to get a more in depth look at some of the London-based locations you'll be inspecting this September, watch last week's Location Trailer!

His skills, your wits - become Sherlock Holmes in Crimes & Punishments from September 30 on PS4®, PS3®, Xbox One®, Xbox 360®, and PC.

London and its suburbs are composed of varied and exotic locations, sprawling with culture and class at every turn. From moon-lit grimy alleys, to sun-kissed Chinese gardens, no matter how seemingly peaceful a scene may be, it is always open to the horrible thefts and murders that Holmes charges himself with investigating. Hot on the scent, you – along with Watson – will find yourself readying the motor-carriage to visit some of the most famous locations in and around London, such as Kew Gardens and the Roman city of St Albans. Where there is beauty there is murder, in this faithful recreation of the Victorian world.

There are six unique cases in Sherlock Holmes Crimes & Punishments, and with each new case new locations to explore and piece together all the clues in order to feel confident about the choices you make, culminating in either the absolving or condemning of a suspect. Expanding on the universe of Sherlock Holmes games, Scotland Yard makes an appearance as the central-hub for interrogating suspects once arrested, examining evidence, and even inspecting corpse after autopsy, for any all-important missing clues!

Last week, we witnessed Holmes’s Art of Subversion, as well as his Art of Interrogation. We’ll be bringing you a new video each week, right up until launch, so stay tuned!

SHERLOCK HOLMES CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS’ SUBVERTION SKILL SHOWCASED IN A NEW RAW GAMEPLAY TRAILER

His skills, your wits!

Crimes & Punishments, the new investigation game from Frogwares, today unveils a new gameplay video, presenting one of the many skills of Sherlock: the Art of Subversion! This new video is the second of a series of videos we will be releasing over the coming weeks until the release of the game on September 30 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

Holmes is known for his high intelligence, and high level of deduction skill. However, Sherlock as he was imagined and written by Arthur Conan Doyle is also a master of disguise, a characteristic that Frogwares transposed in Crimes & Punishments, as one of the many skills the players will actively use to solve the 6 cases of the game.

In turn, we find at Baker Street, in Holmes' bedroom, a wardrobe that holds the key to Holmes' disguises, as well as a dressing table housing wigs, hats, glasses, different hair styles and beards. everything needed to transform into about anyone! This is a very useful skill, when it comes to approaching suspects who might be wary of a well-known detective, and get information - or even confessions - by faking being a member of their social class. This is exactly what reveals today's video, "Art of Subversion", as we witness Sherlock disguising as an Irish sailor to approach a suspect.

We'll have a new video of Crimes and Punishments every week until launch, coming to the PS4®, PS3®, Xbox One®, Xbox 360®, and PC, from September 30th.

CRIMES & PUNISHMENTS’ INTERROGATION TECHNIQUES SHOWCASED

His skills, your wits!

Not content with merely examining crime scenes, Sherlock Holmes in Crimes & Punishments – your new investigation game for PS4®, PS3®, Xbox One®, Xbox 360® and PC from Frogwares coming on September 30th - showcases a unique set of skills aimed at cataloguing facts about a person by their appearance, which may raise doubts about their claims and stories.

Re-evaluating clues gained from interrogations, physical evidence, observations and crime-scenes will unlock further paths of deduction, and lead to more clues and dialogue options. During interrogation scenes, you’ll be able to interject, and support your argument by selecting the piece of evidence that supports your case. Successfully doing so will leave the suspect astounded, and they’ll soon crumble in the face of Holmes’ skills, and your wits, eventually revealing more information about the case.

Across six unique cases, you’ll meet up to five suspects per investigation, all of whom could logically be connected to the crime, enough to have committed it. Each suspect can be convicted, and in some cases suspects can be convicted together, so it’s imperative that detectives develop an understanding of the characters and their backgrounds to supplement information gained from examining crime scenes, in order to build the clearest picture from which to deduce the most likely culprit.

Crimes and Punishments is coming to the PS4®, PS3®, Xbox One®, Xbox 360®, and PC, from September 30th.

CRIMES & PUNISHMENTS: THE E3 TRAILER

Crimes & Punishments, the new Sherlock Holmes investigation game scheduled for release in September on PlayStation®4, Xbox One®, PC, PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360®, can today reveal an exclusive trailer in the run-up to E3 in Los Angeles, where the game will be presented on the Focus stand (West Hall Booth 5512).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpMA7PRyoXg

Each of the six investigations in Crimes & Punishments is packed full of suspects who you will be able to identify using the clues gathered at the crime scenes or from the information gleaned during your interrogations. However, although every case may generate a number of potential suspects, you’ll still have to determine the real perpetrator of the crime by an astute deduction of the chain of events based on all the evidence you have collected during your investigation.

But beware; if your deductions are incorrect or if you rush to solve a case without assembling all the relevant clues, you may accuse the wrong suspect and condemn an innocent person which, as this new trailer will demonstrate, could have some disastrous repercussions!
