sooooo how bugged is this game? Im on the first case and im stuck, i know peter Carrey wasn't a smoker so i wanna deduct the pc tobacoo pouch with the non smoker angle only problem is i only have "non smoker" as clues even tho ive talked to the wife who said he isn't a smoker, i also wanna inspect the ship logs but whenever i press them nothing happens...

It seems that you are very early in the case and I don't want to spoiler anything. When you click on the ship logs, does the symbol show a white "?" and does Holmes say "The ship's logs of the Sea Unicorn for the years 1878-1884. Peter Carey was her captain"? If yes, then you are missing some steps. You have to interact with the ship's logs way later in the case. Don't forget to use your Sherlock Talent "T" and Imagination "F" to find hidden clues. Your notebook should tell you what to do next.

I have only finished the first three cases, but encountered no bugs so far.

yes i was early in it and didn't inspect a vital clue in the archives, i have now finished the first four cases!
