Mana Regeneration
I briefly played the demo and enjoyed it. Regarding mana, is there any regeneration over time mechanic, perhaps with the correct item? The tool tip says that it is regenerated with rest or items and I am curious if that it limited to potions.

At the moment, mana is regenerated only through rest and consumables / potions.
We did have designs for items and skills that would allow mana regeneration over time, but during playtesting it didn’t really feel necessary, so we decided not to include it for now.
Understood. However, if you are looking for input - I would prefer an over-time regeneration option.

I understand the preference, let me explain why we’re sticking with the current design.
Right now the system is "built" around a food / rest loop (you consume food only while resting). If we added mana regeneration over movement (since everything is turn-based, not real-time), it would likely lead to players just walking back and forth after every fight to fully restore mana.
That doesn’t feel like a great outcome. To prevent that, we’d need to introduce additional mechanics, like tying regeneration to food consumption per step etc. which would at the end mean reworking the entire resource system. We could technically introduce some kind of very small passive regeneration, like 1 mana every X steps but honestly, that would be more of a cosmetic / feel-good feature rather than something with real gameplay impact, so it wouldn’t really change how the system works in practice.

I'mma say it. I think this is fine. In older tabletop/ video games based on table tops magic-users have always been tied to managing resources like this. I mean, in a way the whole games were, but magic-users especially.

Walking around to regen MP kinda funny though. I would totally do that if given the option.

I dunno, Some vintage dungeon crawlers used mana regen, and a rest mechanic for faster hp and mana regeneration. For example Lands of Lore. Although that did not have a food mechanic.
I understand and respect the design decision but I also agree with @Namarus.
