SONAR X3

SONAR X3

2 Instruments are missing... please help!
Hi. I'm confused about two missing Instruments.

On the Cakewalk store page it is written that 12 instruments are included in the standard edition of Sonar X3. I miss the "Roland GrooveSynth" (this one is shown in the Sonar browser under DirectX, but I cannot find it in the Cakewalk content folders on Steam or start it in Sonar) and and the "DreamStation" (it is not shown in the browser and I also cannot find it in the content folders). Instead of these I have the "Cyclone" which should be part of the producer version. The other 10 instruments work.

What can I do now? Especially the Roland GrooveSynth is important to me.

Does anyone have the same problems? Please help me!

Edit: In the meantime I found the "Roland Groovesynth" in the folder "Shared DXi/P5antom/", but it doesn't start!

AFAIK, Dxi's always needed to be registered in windows. Its entirely possible it didn't get registered,

Open up a command prompt with Admin rights, type in the following

regsvr32 "ADD YOUR FULL PATH HERE\Cakewalk\x64\Shared DXi\P5antom\P5antom.dll"

and

regsvr32 "ADD YOUR FULL PATH HERE\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\P5antom\P5antom.dll"

I don't see Dreamstation on my 'non-Steam' version of SONAR. It's possible that it's 32 bit only. Have you looked in the 32-bit version?

Thanks for your help. I typed that in cmd.exe, but it doesn't work. An error message occurs that says "Error while loading the module ... be sure the binary data has the right path... the module was not found" or something like that (it's hard to translate that from german to english ;-) ). The error appears for both dll and I doublechecked the right path (for me it's "D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\P5antom\P5antom.dll"). But The plugin is there... I can see it in the Steam folder and the Cakewalk browser.

I searched all folders for the DreamStation... perhaps they changed it to the Cyclone in the standard version.

Please excuse my "not so good" english... I hope you understand me ^^ !

Sorry for the delay, I just got back from an extended vacation and now I'm digging into things.

Roland Groovesnyth shows up for me in 32-bit and 64-bit SONAR.

Which language of Windows are you on currently and which bitness (32 or 64)? I'll try to test on that configuration.

I've verified Dreamstation is missing, we are putting that into the queue for a maintenance update which is scheduled for the near future.

Thanks for the response... I hope you had a nice vacation. I`m running MC6 and Sonar on Windows 7 64 bit (German). The Roland Groovesynth is showed in both browsers, but I am not able to start it. An error box appears which says "Softwaresynthesizer could not be inserted. Perhaps the synthesizer isn`t installed correctly" (translated). By the way... is it right that Sonar is going to be translated into German with the update?

Thanks, we were all working about 16 hours a day to get SONAR Steam ready, so we needed a bit of a break in the holidays.

GrooveSynth seems to be inserting fine for me. Hmmm. Regardless, I'll dig into this more when I can access my German version of Windows 7 on Monday. We had a blizzard up on the North East Coast of the USA, so we all had to work from home today.

Yes, we'll be supporting:
German
Italian
French
Spanish

Just like MC6T.

Thanks... that's good news. The strange thing is: I have installed about 300 VSTi's and the Groovesynth is the only one that doesn't work.

Hi

Any Solution to this? Groovesynth Plugin missing. What to do?

Hey ankur. Groovesynth is a DirectX plugin... not a VSTi. Look into you DirectX folder and you should find it.
