Sound Blaster Audigy FX
VB-Audio VoiceMeeter AUX VAIO
Everything goes into the VoiceMeeter so I can mix channels and output it into a single channel if I need to. Sonar X3 can see it in the output as well and in preferences.
If I switch back to the Sound Blaster or the Realtek I still don't hear anything from this program. All other programs, like Abelton, work fine so I have no idea.
Watch it all but esp from 2:20 re PC driver setup and 4:20 re Sonar prefs. Pause it and look at the check boxes. View in HD.
Esp try checking/unchecking 'Share Drivers with Other Programs' on Prefs > Audio > Playback and Recording.
Another gotcha and esp if checking all 4 Voicemeeter 'devices' is ensuring Master is outputting to VoiceMeeter device 1.
We won't jump to conclusions but many people have had issues with Audigy cards too. (Perhaps more if we don't have a quick resolution).

Seems like Shell's got allot of experience with VoiceMeter and Sonar.
Personally, I prefer Jack over VMP for virtual routing, and Ableton live over Sonar heh...
Anyway, try his suggestions, keep us posted on how it goes, we should
be able to get it sorted for you 1 way or another... I think its pretty clearly
an audio configuration issue...
-Cheers =)
But obviously it's supported as shown in your video. My settings are no different from what I can tell. I have the mic on A1 and B1 is the virtual VAIO.
And Sonar X3 has VAIO 1 set for master output.
control panel... See if you can get it to work with the audigy card alone...
-Cheers
Voicemeeter AUX Virtual ASIO VM-VAIO

Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO VM-VAIO
We did not resolve the issue ... yet :)
- The Audio Engine for Sonar will not Start
- In fact, the SB Audigy does not present itself to Sonar
- Yes, we tried toggling the "Share Drivers With Other Programs" checkbox.
- We tried in ASIO, WASAPI and WDM/KS modes. Whilst various devices presented themselves under different scenarios we could not start the Audio Engine
- There are actually 2 installs of VoiceMeeter (standard and Banana) - that should be OK so long as only one is started at one time and the correct devices are selected.
- Whilst VoiceMeeter could output audibly to/through the SB Audigy card, and Voicemeeter was selectable to Sonar ... the Sonar Audio Engine would not start.
- Tried going through VoiceMeeter and SB Audigy direct - no engine start.
Next steps (?):
- Web Searches
- Try deinstalling one or both VoiceMeeters and see if the SB Audigy card presents itself to Sonar - doubt it.
- Disable/Remove SB Audigy card ... and try VoiceMeeter instead.
- Consider getting a fully ASIO compliant Audio Interface (even just e.g, a Focusrite iTrack Solo) to replace the SB Audigy card.
1. Cakewalk specifically 'call out' Creative Labs Audigy in this note. There is talk of only support for 16bit/44kHz recording/playback. (We did see a 16 bit definition in the Audio setup and left it so).

Precis: With the issues people have with Audigy cards and DAWs - you are better off picking up a 'proper' Audio Interface.

Your card is Creative (SoundBlaster Audigy FX) - not listed but others don't suggest anything we didn't try.
Thinking further - the drivers did not present on the ASIO setting at all. Whilst Creative's ASIO implementation may not be standard ... Did you install ASIO drivers when you installed the card? Could try reinstalling the card's ASIO drivers.
Yes we did see it presented as WDM ... but the engine didn't start ... which could mean bit/buffer/rate tweaks ... but could also simply be incompatible(?)

I remember that I had similar problems at the beginning with Sonar :-) In my case the Asio driver didn't work because I had Audials Software installed.
With software of that kind you get also virtual audio devices installed.
You should have a look into the hardware Manager and if there are more devices try to deactivate them except your soundcard.
Then install Asio. Do the configuration and try Sonar. If that works for you, you just can activate the devices again (one after another) and test Sonar until it doesn't work anymore.
At the end you know which device / software is responsible for your problem and you can search a solution for that.
I hope this can help. Good Luck
