I can get it recording through guitar rig.
Expect now, I can't hear it 'live' - I can only hear what I have recorded. Do I have to route the audio from the Synth track somewhere?
Thanks for that.
Now there is a massive delay, any ideas there?

An external audio interface with ASIO drivers may assist(?)
Otherwise tweaking your buffers in ASIO4ALL / Sonar.
PS: I don't actually have GR5 / your setup.
Thanks for you help!!
I went to Edit > Prefences > Driver Settings > Mixing Latency and dropped it right down.
