This serial number has already been registered to you previously. You do not need to register it again. You will need to enter this code into your product to unlock it if you have not done so already.
For your records, your registration code is the following:
The code it gives me is what i paste in the box but says its invalid.
Steam X3 users don't register Rapture or Dimension individually, they have hard coded serials and redemption codes which are baked into the install scripts. This is done through the InsHelp.exe module when running SONAR X3 for the first time.
If you went from W7 to W10, it likely took out all the existing registry keys.
What I would recommend doing:
1. Make sure any pending Windows updates have been completed and the machine has been reset
2. Make sure you're running Steam as Admin (looks like you know how to do that)
3. Right - Click on SONAR X3 in the Steam Client and go to properties
4. Go to the local data tab
5. Click on the [Verify Application Cache Button]
Allow this to finish, then run SONAR X3 again for the first time. This should go back through the script and rewrite any missing info.
What dialog is saying a code is invalid? There shouldn't be any registration dialogs on a successful install, since everything is setup silently.
My Cakewalk account name is MattC2510
The Steam client doesn't always like to overwrite registry keys, so I think part of the registration keys for Rapture/Dimension are persisting and they can't be overwritten with just a re-verify. Try the following:
1. Open the Run Prompt.
In Windows 8, 7 and Vista, this can be done by holding down the “Windows” key and pressing “R” on the keyboard.
In Windows XP, this can be done by going to the Start menu > Run.
2. At the Prompt, type regedit and click [OK].
Click [Yes] if asked to allow the program to make changes to your computer.
Important: When you access the Registry Editor, create a backup by going to File > Export. In the Export Registry File window that comes up, make sure “Export range” is set to “All” and that “Save as type” is set to “Registration Files (*.reg)”. It is very important to create a backup of your registry because if you accidentally delete a registry key there is no undo function. You can, however, double-click on the Registry backup you made above to re-import your registry keys if you make any mistakes. You must re-import your backup (if needed) before restarting your computer.
3. Delete the following Registry keys. If you do not have one of the Registry keys below, simply proceed to the next one on the list.
○ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software
○ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Cakewalk Music Software
○ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Cakewalk Music Software
4. Proceed to go back through the steps I mentioned in this post: https://steamcommunity.com/app/241070/discussions/0/1333474229063659126/?tscn=1494521850#c1333474229063757241
I just installed and verified a new X3 Producer install on W10. It took a while to complete the script, but it launched and the plugins mentioned are inserting without issue. After trying the above hopefully you'll be good to go.
Good luck OP.
