How to win a war

So in late game i became very strong and decised to attack 2 other factions. I declared war on them but i couldn't attack their troops. I reached their man settlement and captured it. I've got a message that i unlocked the faction and that's all. After a while the enemy settlement started again making clans. This happened with both the factions i declared war. I also put one of my unit inside one of the enemy settlement (there was an option to enter the settlement after i captured it) but it disappeared forever.

Just load a save from a previous turn. You can delete their settlement with DELETE on your keyboard so they won't have a settlement to spawn from. haha thats my solution for now.
