My surveyor clan was out there in the arctic conditions, they quite reasonably did not like the cold, so they announced their wish to be out of the cold. Like, right this moment. As though I could invent the helicopter, manufacture one, train a pilot, and send it out to get them. By noon, perhaps? As opposed to "Hey, this is the last winter we're willing to spend out here, boss."
I think it is the announced desire and the getting upset all in the same turn that gives me that impression.
But I have known people like this all my adult life, and always find it darkly humorous. Sorry I annoyed you, not my intention.
