- After defeating every 10th lord, the timer and your character's health resets back to full. Make use of that time whenever possible.
- My personal training spots are always on the monsters closest to towns with a healing spot. Train against the highest leveled monsters possible that do low damage to you.
- Always carry a herb with you in case.
- First priority is getting a good weapon. Item shops restock on every 5th evil lord, so always make sure to check to regear.
- Buy most of the gear in the first map as a starter. On your second map, you should be looking for a 4k + gold worth weapon. If you don't find any on that map, I'd recommend restarting until you have a good weapon to plow all the enemies more easily. Once you find your weapon, focus on your other armor pieces. Buy whatever that is good stats for sure.
- Map layouts are more complicated later on. It's difficult on your first time through on those maps. Several have gimmicks, but it's hard to explain without a map layout to show you.
- You should almost always be running. Even during battles you should be rushing the faster battles go, the more money you make.
And just to add to the list of tips. One thing that i learned is
- Dont be afraid to die. / go back to start.
Especially in the gimmicky stages like the tunnel one and the dessert. sure you might lose a lot of your health, but it's better than losing time by running all the way back and forth.
It also helped that i recently played through half minute hero 1 so most of the gimmicky areas and maps were still fresh in my mind.
