Thoughts on the game so far and suggestions (if most of these are planned, mb)
As a whole the game shows more immediate charm and personality than any indie game I've played in some time, and while it is rough around the edges in some areas I'd say that the gameplay largely delivers. Not quite as fluid as games like DMC, but I'm sure that's bound to change somewhat Most of my issues can largely be boiled down to minor issues that don't necessarily break the game for me, such as issues with texturing, the camera, audio, and slight gameplay concerns. Hope I'm not overstepping too much, whether that be by suggesting changes that were already planned (which is probably the case considering the game is early in development) or ones that just don't fit with the image the game is going for.

- Make the leapfrog crystal cancel enemy knockback/launch enemies very slightly up with the player, as it stands a lot of moves are impractical to cancel out of either due to the fact that the enemy is just slightly too far away to begin with, or because the move sends them too far away (such as with the book's divekick and the sword's helmsplitter)

- Allow more free movement during the helix fusion bossfight, the locked camera paired with the fact that you can only hit the enemy during relatively specific periods leads to the fight feeling somewhat clunky, and that's seperate from the fact that it shares its moveset of three attacks with another enemy

- Change the areas where certain music plays. It's a bit jarring going from the helix tower to the outside and immediately hearing the default plains music

- Improve tracking on some moves, specifically the magic book projectiles.

- Allow the player to pick up currency dropped on the ground from further away or just have it be added to the player inventory right away, this might help with the issue of currency sitting around during cutscenes.

- Rework player animations slightly or just for some costumes, the running, dodging, and a lot of the sword animations look a bit janky, especially for alternate costumes.

-This is a big ask and one I don't really need, but it would be nice if the homunculus abilities and broom could play a role in combat. I know the bow deals damage, but as it stands it can feel a bit awkward to use in a fight.

Forgot to add, would be nice if there was an easy way to swap out active weapons, as it stands only having access to two at once feels limiting even when there are only three in the game.
