Farm cave - crashes

I revisited the farm cave to get some ores and found the reset button. Not knowing what it was for....and like Grian, I hit the button and reset the cave. I figured it was ok, I can use the resources. I needed to find my way to the other exit I never found anyway. Now I am clearing and killing spiders and the like ...and crash, twice. This is frustrating. Does it have something to do with the cave I wonder. I am used to periodic crashing because of my graphics card - but twice in the same location in 45 minutes?? Ideas?
