Thanks for the kind words. 😊
We're really happy to hear that you're enjoying the demo so far.
About romance, you'll befriend the townsfolk as you progress through profession quests and there are quests for other people in town in the full version. Will you be able to make it out of the friend zone in a future update though? That remains to be decided. 😅
And you're right about the maps. We do actually have a different map in a later part of the (full) game but we ran out of time when trying to get the maps for the other areas in. This will be fixed in the full version. Btw, I like your idea to be able to add marks to the map - you're the first to mention this. 😃
I think the devs need to be more clear on WHY they are making certain decisions. Once I figured out the fishing it was fine. Different. I did think I was scaring off the fish the whole time, but I just chased it till I caught it.
The map can be fixed. My issue was trying to find people I was supposed to talk to. I honestly prefer to learn a map by running around, but quest markers are most helpful or the maps that show where people are. (I couldn't even figure out how to use the map with controller.)
I will go back and try the demo again if my eyes can handle it. That's another weird issue. I can't quite zoom in enough to stop eyestrain, and only zoom out when I want to see where I'm going.
If the game ends up not being for me, I do hope the devs find their audience and I'm sure they will. However, feedback is super important. A lot of it may sound negative, but to me that is the constructive criticism that may just make the game better for a wider audience.
What? Oh no! That will be a no go for me, sadly.
