Shared Server/Save - Way to Change Appearance (Not Just Clothes)

Not sure if the way the co-op works is something that can be changed at this point, but if it can be changed, it NEEDS to be...

Problem:

In order to play co-op with someone, you have to create a new character rather than being able to join using a character from a save you choose.

While the above is fairly typical, the bigger issue is that

there's no way to play without the host.

Other games (such as Grounded) get around this by giving the original host the option to "share" the save with others. This

allows anyone to play on that save, even on their own, make progress, and others can join while they're playing

... long as the save was shared with them.

Another issue is that when you join someone's game, you're stuck as that character.

There's no way to reset or anything so if you accidentally confirmed your appearance during the customization process, you're stuck with that appearance in their game.

Even non-cozy games are getting to a point where they let the player change their entire appearance at anytime so there's really no reason for a cozy game (especially this one which is less restrictive than most other cozies) to be so restrictive here.

This game is incredibly fun and I'm enjoying it already, but the above definitely hinders it significantly.
