Repairing Around Town

I repaired a few buildings around town, but I can't seem to start the quests to repair the docks, or to repair the lights around town. Can anyone tell me how to get these started?

The quest to repair the docks you get from the mayor after completing the quest to repair light posts. I'm unsure about the quest for the lighthouse, it might be by talking to the lighthouse man but I think it might just after completing the mountain

I got the quest to repair the lights from the mayor after I completed repairs to the benches, which started by clicking on one of the broken benches and then talking to the mayor

I repaired benches, talked to the mayor. went up to a broken light and activated that quest. then after fixing lights (this was also after i fixed general store and mountain cable car idk if that matters) i got the pier to unlock and while fixing the pier I ran around trying to figure out how to get the materials needed for it when i happened upon the lighthouse. I repaired the lighthouse and the boat near the farm in order to finish repairs on the pier.
