Inventory slots

Whenever opening inventory it is very slow to load - I think it is due to the number of inventory slots, is it possible to have it remove unused inventory slots?

I dunno if I've experienced slowdown, but I do wonder if its been causing my random disconnects in multiplayer when in a long-running game.

Alternatively, for now, you could craft a Chest and put items up you're not really using. Chests do have a limit of space, but its nice to offload into. I recommend just making a Chest per zone. So Farm items going into a chest just for them, Forest items into another.. so its easy to keep them together and remember which came from where. :)
