East end of Forest?

I built the bridge to the forest. Have been in the two caves and in the temple. Have found the mushroom man, but can't cross the river. So I an't get to the east of the forest where supposedly the gear is that I need. HELP :(

I can't find the gear either.

Look for a Tree Trunk that can be interacted with to make a Log-crossing.

The gear is on the far east side of the Forest.

I cannot find the Gear anywhere, is there a more accurate spot you can give if possible?

For crossing past the river - There should be a cave, not the main mining cave but a 2nd one by the river, which has a passage to the other side. Keep walking down the lit path and you should find a 2nd exit. You can then knock down a log so you don't have to go through the cave again

For the gear - The gear is all the way at the end of the forest. In the far east, you'll find a little path (near a well) down to a beach. The path is guarded by three mushroom enemies, very annoying. Run along the beach and there should be a couple small islands you can walk to out in the water. One of them has the gear, and another a red chest with a luma
