The literally say that this is the plan. They intend to reintroduce all of the hardcore components as different difficulty levels.

As a solo player, I agree with the OP; these changes were necessary for the game to be remotely enjoyable for me. I had already stopped playing by five hours in because I couldn't be bothered to dash down to the mines to mine for twenty minutes for two pieces of ore one more time.
Everything they've nerfed will return, possibly with a vengeance. You only have to have a little bit of patience.
Most of the complaints are focused on the fact that these people spent several hours doing mundane repetition that they considered to somehow be worth the effort when all it did was bore people to death, and so now they want to feel validated that everyone should suffer through the slog like they did. I suffered through the slog up to Jungle, and I would have given the game a negative review based on that slog feeling relentlessly tiresome, but now I don't have to thanks to the update.
So cheers to the dev for recognizing that the system was killing the momentum.
Oh okay mb didn't know that, i appreciate more then ^^
I understand your point. I've also almost maxed out everything and suddenly got the update. But for me, I feel a new urge to play, because all of the things I wanted to do, are achievable right now much easier.
Can you please explain to me what was so hard? Was it just the grind? I mean every game has grind even the mighty Stardew has lots of grind.
The combat in this game was already very nothingburger too. Nothing felt threatening in the first place and I even willingly ran into spiders to get out of the mines faster, at least I never noticed myself losing anything from "dying".
Some sort of difficulty option to make enemies actually feel like a threat could be neat.
But the game was already easy, even for casual players. I feel the devs are missing the point about people complaining
Great, but for many of us that really loved the game and were looking forward to playing it's a massive letdown. Now we're being told difficulty will come at some point, no one knows when - and I'm not even sure that will fix it. Why not leave the game the way it was and add the lower difficulty later. Also, you'll notice the game has "Very Positive" on Steam. All of it was based on the original state of the game, pre-patch. Why even mess with that?
The dev said it would be a few months though I have my doubts they will ever add that option. They have no incentive they release the with a demo, 6 days after launch game becomes something else that is not the demo. I wonder if they have changed the demo yet.
After looking at a lot of his posts they need a new moderator for this guy doesn't know how to communicate very well with out pissing off others. I hear he is permanently banning people on this forum.
