The farm Fox!
I love this little guy! I was hoping there was some way to catch it and it was going to be another cheeky Luma.. but no..

I'd love for that to be a feature, catching the little Fox to have as a pet and this reduces/remove the chances of a wild one coming around to bother the chickens (very annoying to have them fenced, but still sleep cause the fox is just out the fence.. )

Rarely do we ever get foxes as pets in games, it'd be lovely to have here and an opportunity for a lil pet catching quest.

+1 for a fox pet if there is not already one!

I was very much hoping to be able to catch that adorable fox, I spent an embarrassing amount of time chasing it around the first map with a net

It's a wild fox, it should stay a wild fox. I know it seems cute, but it teaches bad habits towards animals. We live in strange times when people want to keep martens, otters and other animals at home that should be left in the wild. (yes I know it's only a game, but still)

Then by that logic, you should care about people tying balloons to worms, placing shoes on fish and never letting them in the water, and clipping an owl's wings and forcing it to eat only fruit.

Its a video game, the only smart thing you really said. Virtual reality pets shouldn't be punishable because idiots exist in the world. This is very close to 'video games cause violence' line of thinking.. so I guess wanting to have a virtual pet BECAUSE i do not want on in reality for the very fact you listed is somehow.. bad? "Virtual reality pets are making people get exotic wild animals as pets!" is uh... I hate to break it to you, but idiots are gonna do idiotic things.. a virtual reality pet fox isn't going to make or break that bank of idiocy. People been doing this long before games came along..

Its a bad habit to draw extreme conclusions from video games.

Luma's are not animals, but "magic critters" ;) But you're right, virtual reality pet fox isn't going to make or break that bank of idiocy.

YES!! I came to the forums just for this question! Since I can't exactly own a fox pet IRL, I always seek them out in games so I live vicariously through my avatar, hahaha~ Devs, please consider letting us have foxes as pets! <3

+1 on this.
I noticed it runs off, so an idea for devs is maybe we could have it so we follow it back to it's hidden burrow. Then we need to do something else, like have the dog pet active and it goes into the burrow to scare it out of a 2nd hole that we can then catch the fox to use as a pet :D

I tried that multiple times but it just disappears after running away for a bit. It doesnt go anywhere that you could find

Yeah sorry, i corrected my post, it was meant as a suggestion/idea to the devs, not an actual answer on what to do with the fox itself.. OOPPPSS!!!

You realize that this is a game with pixels? Technically they're just code. :P Semantics, so much fun, so pointless. Anyway...

I put up several fences and gates around my farm and chicken coop, but I think the fox still gets in. Is there a way to prevent that fox from even getting close to them? Or do I need to chase them off whatever I might setup to protect my farm?

I too would like to be able to let my chickens range. The fences are nice but i don't like having to have one.

I believe getting goats scares them away but I also think it'll bring things too. Seems to be a pattern
