Duplicated Tools

so, unsure what's happened but when I upgraded from Iron to Moonstone, my iron tools are still in the inventory but I still have the Moonstone tools.
I am not using anything that alters the files like mods or anything and I'm playing solo.
Any way to remove old tools? maybe a console command?

It's harmless but makes the inventory a bit untidy. 😅

It's not too big of a deal, it just takes away 5 inventory slots but the inventory is big enough that it doesn't really matter.
It's also not an asap fix , it's completely manageable :)
just fix it whenever haha, from what I've seen I'm the only person it's seemed to happened too.

You mentioned console commands.

Have you enabled the console at your end?

If so, have you used any console commands earlier in this game?

I wasn't even sure this game had console commands until just now, I just figured you guys might have a work around with a command that I potentially could have used.
but nope, this save is completely legit.

What's weird tho, I got my brother the game and got him to join the same save and give it a go and when he upgraded from iron to moonstone, he had no issues at all.

Yeah, it might be a one-off issue sadly.

This greatly reduces the chances of a fix to prevent it from happening to others...

yeah exactly, I might have had something running in the background that may have done it, I have no clue.
But either way, good to know it's potentially not a problem for anyone else :)

but in saying that, is there a console command that will wipe the hotbar or something like that? like I could move the duplicated tools to the hotbar then delete it, then move the other items back up?

If not that's fine, it's not taking much space anyways.
