Temple in the Town Ending Spoilers Question

I gathered the keys for the temple in town and I was faced with the choice for the ending. Presumably freeing the crystal would've given the true ending, but having missed parts of the dialogue and the game not letting you see a repeat, I made the wrong choice. I thought that I was breaking the crystal's chains, but I in fact destroyed it, and all I got was a plain text wall before the end credits.

I don't seem to be able to run through the true ending, is there seriously no way to do this? I did not manually make a save state beforehand.

It saves back-ups of each of the previous 5 days in the game so you can jump back in time.

The back-up file names include the day number.

The save file for the present day does not include the day number.

Anyway, please make a backup of your Saves folder first.

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\FeelFreeGames\Luma Island\Saves

Then start Luma Island. Do not click on the 'New / Load' button yet.

Then remove the save file without the day number.

And rename one of the save files from a previous day so it doesn't include the day number. In other words, it should match the name of the save file you just deleted.

Then click on the 'New / Load' button and load the game. It will now start on that day instead and you can try the other ending.
