No eggs from chicken, strange pigs
Already 10-15 days there is no eggs from chickens. I have 3 huts at farms, see bettles on plants, and also see chickens eating it. After getting away for few days, I never see bettles on trees, so chickens works. But they layed only 2-4 eggs on first days and no more again. I've harvested cherry 6 times already (I mean passed 6 full growth cycles), for example, but not received any egg.
And also same situation with pigs: they live with goats. I see goat milk every day, but fertilizator only once in a few days. So I see that feeding pan works and fulfilled, all conditions are met, but goat - works, while pigs - works only once per few days

update: chickens works without beetles, so just place their hut in a fenced area without plants (I also put feeding pan with hay)

ya same problem here, chicken and rabbits seem to be useless, just to clean ur field. rly sad to see.

Auto-cleaning farm is super-useful, so rabbits and chickens must have even in current state.
But without eggs it's just impossible to brew cherry drink 0_o

My chickens didn't like the way I place the feeding trough, once I moved it I got eggs every day. Also, I've heard they don't do anything if they're scared by the fox, so I moved the coop in the middle of my enclosure.

in order to get products from animals you have to feed them hay, preferrably place a feeding trough and place hay in it, return every morning for 1 of the item from every animal present.

(4 chickens is 4 eggs a day)

also Kronos has the right idea, move your rabbit/chicken houses near the middle of your farms to keep them from foxes, that way they will leave their huts and start working.

So chicken requires hay for eggs and also eat bettles?
Because their description says only that they eat bettles

yes there is a LOT of direction and information for this game that is straight up missing that you can only learn via loading screen tooltips of trial and error

I think the game assumes you will read the descriptions of the animals which states to feed them hay for items as WELL as their farm purposes of keeping things clean.

but its very easy to overlook because most ppl dont read the lil item descriptions in their inventory when holding the animal.

But do you have any ideas why pigs produce fertilizer only once per few days? Do you met same problem too? I think about moving them to separate enclosure, but don't think it will change anything

If you don't have a feeding trough (it costs 10k gold for the bp), you can also just use the throw button to chuck hay at them. This works for lumas and luma food also. Obviously, the trough is easier, though. (Lumas will only eat from the trough if they are placed in a luma house.)

It requires Tilled Wet Soil, and they have to bed fed. Mine produce fertilizer everyday. I have pigs in there own area, with a medium sized sprinkler plot, it stays wet, and they have food, so they always produce it.

Wow, I've never seen that, where did you get this info? 0_o
Have you planted something or just used hoe and added sprinkler?

I just give them a mud pit to use ( Soil and Sprinkler ) also in the tool tip ( i think ) it mentions they will make Fertilizer in tilled soil, and occasionally ginger. ( Both requires them to be fed ).

Unrelated to the quote above

100% Reccomend making a "Pig Pen" ( Soil + Sprinkler + Trough with hay ) Moe pigs the better. I mean, you could always go and farm the wood from each every, every few in game days. But an auto source is so nice.

Also no eggs from chickens, but rabbits as deweeders are great :D

To get eggs from chickens you need to build tray in chicken pen and put food inside.
