How to get piracy pork achievements?

Its a rare chance to get on purchase of a pig for your farm. In essence buy 1 a day and place it until you get the rare pig

I just got the achievement from following the advice in the link provided above. I purchased pigs from the store at night (~23:00) and placed them in the pen.

I did this across numerous nights before I got the rare pig. Each pig will be rare from the vendor, so you could have five at the time of triggering the achievement.

Ah, so that's why both of my pigs were pirates. Who knew being lazy and going to the store at night would pay off?

it doesn't have to be at night, any pig will have the chance to roll the pirate variant

I think the point is the chances are higher (maybe 100%) for pigs purchased and placed in a pig pen between 23:00 and 23:59. These chances are much lower any other time of day.

I'm trying to get this achievement too.
Been trying to get them at night time but I keep on forgetting it cause I'm usually stuck inside the cave =(

But I also read getting the achievement at past midnight too.

If you read the "Tips and tricks", says past midnight.
Like physicspolice mentioned, maybe it has higher chance at night time?

The midnight thing is most likely a myth, I purchased my pirate pig around noon. I also noticed that pigs purchased on the same day have the same appearance, so it seems like it depends on the day, and not on the time of day.

Also, I once purchased 2 pigs a few minutes before midnight and neither of them had the pirate appearance.

how does it looks like? have purchase one after midnight and it looks different to the others, but don't get the archievment. got it ^^ - have read the archievment guide abouve. there is a pic of the pig :)

Update: Finally did it. ;D Bought 2Pigs short before midnight. Wasn´t ghosttime.
Before that i bought a lot of them. Seems to be totally random.

This worked for me and my gaming-buddy, we bought ours on the 49th day - not sure if it will be the same for others.

I bought one around 18:00 and put it in the pen, and I got the Pirate pig. So I told my friend about it and she got one too after buying it around 22:00 on the same day. So she was able to finally get the last achievement she was looking for.

Edit: We tried every other possibility that was written on this discussion page - even followed that link of "100% Guide for Luma Island - tips and tricks" - nothing worked. This is why I also believe it has NOTHING to do with time at all.
