Is it me or does everything grow way too fast?
I will say it's nice that the crops grow fast but the weeds grow faster and I feel like I spend more time tending garden and cutting grass which means not having time to follow and help with any quest. Can we tone down the speed of grass/weed growth? Over night the grass grows to knee height!

I pull weeds and by the time I've harvested, fertilized and watered 3 grape plants I have weeds all over again and I only have 10 wheat and 10 grapevines.

Yeah I think so too, you need to clear everything all the time...also the weeds on the plants grow like crazy.

Rabbits eats weeds, and other animals also have use for gardening.

I kinda like having to actually maintain a garden. its a lot more interactive and thus satisfying.

tips.

certain plants have certain downsides

GRAPES
for example grapes will get weeds often but also need fertilizer.

my tip is to section them into rows so you can walk quickly between them, use a hose to water them, and have a single rabbit or two in the grapes section to eat the weeds for you

STRAWBERRIES
these will have beetles that come and try to eat them, you can have a chicken coop in this section and a sprinkler/hose for easy watering no need for rows like the grapes since you dont need to fertilize them. making it a lot easier to harvest large patches.

etc. this games farming is one of the better ive ever seen

You'd think so.....but then afterwards, crafting takes time, and prices in the stores are pretty high, so whatever return you're getting will immediately get sunk into more upgrades or buying resources you're low on and can't be bothered to scour the wilds to get a bulk amount of.
