Trying to find broken benches
I can't seem to locate the two last broken benches in town. Is there any kind of not obvious locations for these?

Honestly, it's kind of ridiculous that the mayor knows that they need to be fixed and probably where they are, but I have to search for them like this is a test or something where he can't mark them on the map for me.

No quest line. Random quest. Talk to people often. They may have work for you :D

I'm having the same problem, but with the lampposts. I've finished all but one, and I've searched everywhere multiple times. I finally just moved on to fixing other things. I agree they should be marked somehow on the map or something.

I think the lampposts won't be so bad on account of them audibly sparking and being tall instead of being short and easy to conceal behind walls and houses.

4 by the piers and last one behind the profession building up the stairs.

The point of the bench and lamp post repair quests is to challenge you to go find them.

Think of it like an easter egg hunt.

If you hate exploring, these quests will of course be a bit painful but some kind souls are working on a Luma Island Wiki over here:

https://lumaisland.wiki.gg/

Over time, I'm sure someone will create a map of the locations of the benches and lamp posts. 😉

Then I guess the mayor is going to have to "challenge" himself with asking all of the other craftspeople in town to do it instead of contracting a hillbilly to do a scavenger hunt for only coins and spirits. If it wasn't for fixing the town, I'm basically getting paid less than if I did literally anything else on the island. I break my back repairing every essential service in town and yet they still charge me 20k to fix the cable car that they themselves probably charge the tourists admission to ride. Quite frankly deranged behavior on the mayor's part. How does he know if anything's broken if he didn't even write it down? I could put a box over it and he wouldn't know. What a joke.

Can't even get the fox to go away......no fence far away enough to stop him from stare blasting my chickens.

Game is fun but the townies are nuts. Glad romance and friendships aren't in the game. The stores are probably making between 2 to 10 times the income I do for the stuff I produce but all I seem them do is stand around all day, raking in the gold on their super high prices without even having to rapidly pet ten lumas just to learn how to make soup.
