How's the save system?

Does it use the archaic Harvest Moon system, or is it more modern(You can save whenever/wherever you want)?

It saves when you go to bed.
But the game prevents you from "sleeping" early in the day.
The screen does blackout for couple secs around in-game time at 7AM, but not sure if that's auto save... I'm still trying to figure this out.

The game also saves when you exit the game, so you don't need to "save to sleep". It'll ask you do you want to save or not while exit.

Ah, that's good to hear.
I was afraid of losing progress if I ever try to close the game in the midst of the day =D

game auto saves, so if you need to rush somewhere and close out of the game fast you can load it back up to the spot you where at.

My character doesn't sleep she is a rebel lol game still saves
