Can't get Luma pets out of the nest once placed??

So I have a Luma pet and I have placed it in the nest that I have built. Finding that part out wasn't easy and I'm still not sure how I did it (clarification on this as well would be greatly appreciated!). However I'm also having an issue getting my pet back out. I broke the house and it gave me my pet back but of course you have to rebuild it right after if you want to place it back. Is there another way to get them out without having to break the nest or is it just that hard? Also are Luma pets able to be killed by monsters and such? Please help!

you can use the bugnet to takeout the lumas from their nest, same for chickens and rabbits.

I destroyed the nest and was able to reclaim the mats and my luma. Then I built my pen and rebuilt the nest.

You should probably try SleepyDeepy's idea tho.

I can't even build the nest lol My table doesn't have the rope recipe.

I cant keep them from wandering. Built stone fence and can never find them. The walk all over! Cant pet them if cant find them.

Put mine in a stone wall pen and they cant or dont get out at all. Not happy about the damn fox that appeared as soon as I got me chickens though, that was unexpected.

I caught one with a net and they went back in my bag
