how tf do i get 15 cats?

i've been playing for almost 20 hours now and i only got TWO cats. am i doing something wrong? i need to keep reseting the game or what? help!

yo - yeah me too - I've had the game open for 28 hours i think and got 2 cats... how tf is it every 8hours you get 2 cats??? What am i doing wrong :(

Drops are given to the player after starting the game and during the first 10 minutes of gameplay, then again every 8 hours. To earn this achievement, you need to collect 15 different cats, not just 15 cats in total.
For more information about drops, click the “?” button in the inventory.
You can receive a maximum of 2 cats every 8 hours (drops reset after 8 hours).
Please note that Steam may experience issues during periods of high traffic, so drops might not always work reliably.

You can also trade cats with other players or buy and sell them on the Steam Market.

I am currently at 9 cats with about 13 hours in. I keep resetting and all that stuff, as well as leaving the game open for minutes/hours on end. I feel like it should perhaps be a bit easier to get more, but that might just be me.

Been at this over a year and not only do i not have 15 cats, the drops are incredibly inconsistent. I open the game once a day and i do not receive a cat for days sometimes.
