I'm getting pretty tired of early-access games as well. The only reason I own it is because I pledged on their kickstarter. And no, it is not the same thing. If no one backed their kickstarter the game wouldn't get done but it doesn't make a difference if one buys the early access.

Is anyone forcing you to buy this or any game in early access? No? So what exactly is your problem?

Also, it isn't going to stop, because early access seems to be VERY successful.

Is anyone forcing you to read this? What exactly is your problem? he has as much right to ♥♥♥♥♥ about pricing as you do to ♥♥♥♥♥ about him ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Dont like it, dont read. If you do read it, dont make stupid statements that he shouldnt do the every same thing you are.

My problem is that I see lot of interesting offers on steam, click on them and then "early access" pops up. I'm not interested in buying a half finished game, period. So either let me hide or sort them somehow so I can actually check out offers I'm interested in instead of having to sort through all these early-access games.

I'm not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I'm asking a question. No one is forced to get games that are in early access, so why should anyone have problems with it?
Citronvand's objection does make sense, though.

I'm sure there is a suggestion forum here somewhere, so maybe try it there.

That's a pretty good idea. I have no problems with early-access games but I don't participate for the fear of wearing a game out before the final product is even out.

maybe more people should participate in kickstarters or wait for the full release, cheers.

What Steam needs to do is put an "Early Access" ribbon on their advertisements on the front page. I, too, get tired of seeing "new" games only to find out they won't be actually ready for release until months, if not years, later.

If the company doesn't go under before production is finished, or the project is scrapped.

Early access is the new milking cow,now we got spammed with that garbage on front Steam page; that and the indie invasion has turn to an annoiying steam user experience.

How sad has turn this once excellen store.

I think early access games exist to avoid reviews. Imagine if Duke Nukem came in as an early access. Reviews destroyed DN within twenty four hours. As an early access it would have lived for months, everyone thinking it would get better. I do not think early access is good for the consumer. As another person said, even if the game becomes good we are tired of it, done with it, and have moved on. I would like to see this phase of game development pass on. I think as gamers we are vulnerable. We so want that next game that will keep us up the entire night, and make us miss work just to play. Eary release taps into that without the need to deliver.

As long as I am not paying more than the retail price of the game, I have no problem with it. The other issues in question are issues with Steam specifically. Frankly, there are plenty of filters I'd like just as much if not more than Early Access, such as "garbage titles below a certain dollar amount that I will never buy, DLC, yet I am force to browse through the garbage to see the extremely small percentage of games that interest me. You think Steam is going to engage in something that reduces the amount of perusing of their catalog that we have to do?
