Yes it messes up the quest chain...for Hollywood. But, Hollywood is just side quests. Your only real quest is the set up your repeaters (in AZ and in CA).

So...go hog wild. Kak dem holy rollers.

Because I despise God's Militia's myopic fundamentalism, I walked into their church through the back entrance, bought ammo from their vendor, then killed them all with their own ammo I just bought

Yea, I messed up a few quests, but removing a bunch of nut jobs from the planet was worth it

I didnt even mean to kill them all, but when that White douchebag came to me talking as if he was my lord, I just decided Ild annihilate those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Then I helped Mayweather since I intended to kill em all anyway, he just gave me the excuse I needed and I didnt feel sorry at all...

lol, I didn't even need an excuse, once I got in their base I knew full well they were all going to die.
I loved the irony of shooting them with their own bullets

An interesting related question would be:

"What is the maximum carnage you can cause and still complete the game with a 'good' ending?"

As far as I know, the only single faction that you absolutely cannot turn hostile and still achieve a win of some sort is the Rangers themselves, but if you go rampaging around acting like murderous thugs instead of lawmen, eventually the Rangers themselves go hostile and send Team Delta against you. I don't know how evil you have to act to reach that point, though.

Well, after seeing God's Militia's for what they are, I decided the world would be a better place without them, and nobody in my party complained, and I had Rose and Ralphy at that time

I wanted to milk some more experience out of CA before the final battle, so I went back and wasted all of the God's Militia that I had just helped. I stopped by Hollywood and they were already there, and the town was locked up tight.

Interestingly, even though I killed everybody in the Bastion (and I got the cheevo for killing all the Militia leadership), the epilogue still mentioned that they had taken over Hollywood (including mentioning the leaders I killed) and all of the horrible things that had happened to the people there as a result of my actions.

I blame Hollywood's fate on the Devs. If they had just made it easier to see what the hell I was supposed to do for Heidi's quest, I would've saved her and her town instead.

It isn't too hard to get Team Delta sent after you. Just kill "civilians" enough times and you are on the list. So, lay waste to say Highpool and then murder the morons in Rail Nomads and boom, there you are!
