Going to LA

I'm probaly missing the simplest thing, but I've finished up all the quests in Arizona, returned to the Citadel, talked to Vargas, listened to the radio call, talked to Vargas again, and found the helicopter.

How do I actually go to California to advance the game? I can't find Vargas again after he leaves and anyone else I talk to just wishes me luck. Can't use the helicopter either.

ur question is not clear, thats why no one is answering u. Write me again what were last things u did? so i can help u, and if u found chopper, then why u do not get on it to LA?

Last things I did? I said in my original post what I had done. I can see the helicopter, but you can't do anything with it -- it just has the 'right button examine' button. I can't find anyway to get on the chopper or anyone who can help me to advance the game.

I have no other quests on my log sheet except for the 'main quest' one that is in yellow.

By helicopter I mean the copter in the Citadel in the back room that was closed until the radio conversation was finished.

Seriously though, there should have been a brief cutscene then you can climb into the helicopter, it should have a transition symbol on it, like it was a door.

Never got a cutscene. Is there something I'm missing or a ossible bug?

You've tried interacting with the chopper, right? As said above it works similar to a door.

I got it figured out -- seems to be a small bug. I tried leaving the Citadel and returning, and this time when I entered the hanger with the chopper General Vargas was standing in front of it. Talking to him gave me the option of flying to California. Problem solved!
