Sarah's locket [possible spoilers]

So I killed all robots in Damonta, done all quests (it seems) except installing repeater and decided to clean up before moving forward. I'm trying to use Sarah's locket on that guy near the desk in water company but it's unusable. Also the painting says it's locked and can't be open or something like that. Any help?

There's one locket that is a nothing item that you loot from a grave in Rail Nomad, and then there's the identical locket you can use on the dead guy on ground by adding it to hotkey and clicking on him (I think). Is it possible you kept the wrong locket? Also, possible to have a minimal perception check here? I think I clicked on the desk that told me dead guys name before I was able to click on him.

In the Canyon of Titan you come across a Woman travelling with a Mad Monk that is being hold-up by a Raider with fatal consequences.. She's the one he wants and her locker will bring him peace..

The painting is a bit funky. Click on the painting again, left or right. Perhaps with the perceptive character.

Yeah I'm using the locket from the girl whose legs have been blown off. I have to confess I'm slacking with perception a little bit but have at least 4 which does indeed identify the desk in the building at least. The locket can be hotkeyed and used but it says 'Can't be used here' or something along the lines.

Same with paining. I've clicked it a hundred times here and there, ran out of building and back in, reloaded game, but still nothing.

Did you examine the painting? I remember once I examined it I could pick it up. Didn't know about using the locket on the dead guy. I thought it weird that I was given a locket quest, but the recipient is found dead.

Yeah I did. Still nothing unfortunately. I still have Rail camp to solve so I'm going to level up my perception a little bit and see what comes of it.
