Hollywood Guide for peaceful solution - [Spoilers]

Hello Guys... Managed to go trough Hollywood with success... Here's a small guide, because i've been reading a lot of people complaining about bugs and broken chain quest. Here it is!

Reach Hollywood;

Go to Cemetary, protect people. Talk with the grave digger, kill the other animals, do not dig any graves. Complete digger quest, talk to the Hippies (the one who call you pigs);

Talk with the woman who had their restaurant shut down. Say you will help, talk to the guy on the left corner of her position and pay 100 scrap so he can liberate her permit;

Go to heide whorehouse, and look for veronica on the other room. Say that you will help her find evidence on slavery;

Got to the restaurant south of the whorehouse, talk to Flo about Wolves. She will ask to meet at cemetary. Do not talk to anyone else at restaurant (at least i didnt). Go to the cematery and take all intel you can;

Go to the East of map on a sewer entrance, you will find cages and be instantly raided by the Schwagg employee. Kill him, and lockpick one chest on the corner that has written evidence about slavery. Disarm all bombs on doors (may take a wile) and release the hostages.

At this point i went straight to the restaurante, told Flo about the slavery, and she asked to do something. I decided to kick the door to Schwagg. Enterede the room, busted the SOB and collected another evidence on his vault. Talking to Flo makes her say that she will take care of the place now.

Go back to Veronica on the whorehouse Tell veronica about the evidence, she will ask to talk to Heide. Talk to heide who ask for you to not deal with the matter, she will (right... but i've already stained all that carpet with the responsibles blood). Back to veronica, and tell that Heide will try to solve the deal. She will tell you to find his "lover", wich she calls "broken man";

Now over north of town, near the TV that the crazy guys try to recruit you, you can use brute force to open a secret passage to the bastion. Do it, enter;

Find the first npc on the torture room, wich names by *something*Dade. Talk himm about "the broken man" and say nothing about "joining church". He will ask to talk to veronica, say yes.

Go back to veronica, tell that he loves her, and he will come and talk. They will decide to take control over the city to have peace and end conflict between church, end the drug dealing and the slavery kidnappings. For this you must help veronica have majority on votation against Heidi on HCC.

Ok, now to get the votes. Go to the middle lane and help the junkers on the store that claims that roaches are invading theyr shop. Ask about drugs. Help them. Once you helped, ask them to vote for veronica.

Now go to the cemetary and talk to the hippies again about drugs and kidnapping;

Now go to the cassino, talk to the chinese guy. Say you will help recover his stolen chips. Move to Los feliz, enter the bar, talk to the man dressing up as woman. Intimidade him (hard ass) to give all the tips. Do not believe on him or take bribe, is fake anyway. He will tell that the stash is on his room. Open the room, lockpick the stash and get the chips. Return chips to Chinese guy.

Now go on the alley behind the Rambeaus gun store, lockpick the safe near the crazy lady, get some pretty nasty photos of the chinese guy. Save for later.

Go to Rambeaus store, and ask him to vote for Veronica, he will ask to find who is stealing his guns. Follow his employee through back door and see hee meeting with the cyborgue. Kill cyborgue and use HARD ASS 8 to make him follow you. Take no bribe. Give him to rambeau and he will vote for veronica.

Now go to FLO on the dinner and ask for vote to veronica. You have 3 votes, need one more.

Go to the chinese cassino, and ask for support, if he refuses, say you will show those nasty pictures you took from the safe. He will vote for veronica now.


Talk to veronica, he will ask to make DADE priest the head of church. Time to help him.

Go through north entrance, talk to dade again. Say you wanna join the church. Accept to find evidence against the other priest. Ask for key to the radio tower in return. Once you get in you will meet a fellow that will ask you to surrender booze. Either way he will go out. Enter the other door, and you will be on top of the bastion. Lockpick the container and take a booze.

Go back, to East, tal to the lady. Use smart ass to see that she got hit by her husband. ask for evidence, she will tell NO. Leave her like this.

Go where the paladin guy entered once he asked for booze. Find him inside a little "outside cantina". Talk to him, and surrender booze. Touch the pedestal, he will attack you. Kill them all, the other priests wont attack you.

Open the display, take the eye. Show the eye to the beaten Wife, and she will go off to get some evidence on her abusing husband.

Show the evidente do DADE inquisitor, and he will be on showdown with the guy. (at this point the camera bugs, and it wont show nothing but far dialogues. Thats a bug, but have patience that eventualy the talking ends).

Once the guy is dead, loot him for some nice scrap and the key to the radio tower. Talk to dade that will thank you. You can now talk to veronica to vote. But before go up and with the key, and activate the tower, Grab any sack of the zeolite you can (there's more on the vault).

Go to veronica, say that you did it, and the meeting will start. Its on the door oposite to veronicas door on the main hall on heidi's place.

Everyone will vote for Veronica, and Heidi will rage quit promissing revenge. Priest and people negotiate peace and end to abuses of the church and slavery. But ask to deal with the drug problem.

Talk to veronica, she will ask to find Heidi so she can never come back with a army. Go to veronicas chambers, and the room beside her's is locked. Enter, its Heidi's room. Killl the bodyguard, move the thing on the floor, check her table for keycode (12345).

Go down, you will be on sewers. You can explore now, lots of traps and chests. Kill anything hostile, do not kill junkies, only dealers. If you find a diying girl, you can save her later once you finish.

Explore the place, once you find the salt lab, kill everyone. Destroy the Tanks (shotgun blasts will do). Use surgery 10 to try save the girl and bring her to the Hippies on cemetary if you wish.

Finish cleaning the sewer, and the hotel for hostiles. Theres a red button behind a door, not sure what it does, didnt pressed it.

Go back to Veronica, she will appreciate ending Heidi, and give you scraps. and ask you to find Dade on the entrance to Los Feliz. Meeting him there, he will tell that the other priest took the power and stationed turrets on the front. Will ask you to go trough the secret passage (the one north, near the TV) and kill it so theyr guys can enter.

Enter, kill everything hostile, and thats pretty much it! Best solution i could find to the problems!

I did this but after I kill Jones nothing happenes. It says I still need to cement the peace.

After talkig to veronica and flo about suspected slavery you can also talk to Shifty and kid him you are interested in becomming a "star" etc. He will meet you by the sewer entrance to his "office" and you can challenge him about what he's really up to. You get one fight here. Then you go down to the slave pens and you get fight number 2. After you free the slaves and get the evidence you get a third fight on the way out. This way you get three fights instead of one for XP and loot.

I don't think you are really supposed to find this tunnel until much later, and the way you tell this you've missed quite a bit out.

At this stage you can instead head through to Los feliz (where you cn also do the Manny thing with the casino chips) and find a guy in the Inn who wants to recue his cousin (maybe brother). I wouldn't pick him up yet as he maight get killed in the Gauntlet. Now you can do the Gauntlet and make your way to the Bastion that way for a ton of XP etc. You then pick up the bloke in the Inn and talk to the cafe girl about the penitents and also talk to the guy's cousin - you get he "Free the penitents" quest here. This is how i thionk you are "supposed" to do it.

Then you head in to see McCade and proceed as you described.

Yeah this guy is called White. What you can do is get him to confess to killing Mayweather's wife's former husband when he gets drunk and he brags about the eye in the pedestal. You can then walk out of the little compound and there is a gap in the fence so you can steal the eye from the other side without him knowing, then show it to Mayweather's wife.

You can also get him to confess something about the penitents being slaves really, but you can't get him to confess about both the murder and the slaves AFAIK.

yeah, that zeolite is really heavy, so the other way to do this which saves you humping it around too much and also gets you a load more XP and one of the better fights is to leave the radio tower for after you've defeated Jones's rebels and the meson cannon in the main Bastion area. The radio tower guards will probably be hostile/sided with Jones so you can waste them for good loot and XP. This way picking up the zeolite is the last thing you do basically in Hollywood, saves humping it.

How did you manage to trigger the peace animation? After I kill Jones and mason canon nothing happenes. MC Dade stays in Hollywood. I guess my main question is where does the peace take place? I read that in the compass room at Bastion?

IIRC you go back see Veronica and McCade in the board room at Heidi's. Something like that. They should head on up to the Bastion then and sign the peace treaty once you've dealt with both Heidi and Jones. The cut scene triggers when you arrive in what was Mayweather's room.

yeah I have done all that and nothing. Heidi and Jones are dead but in Mayweather's room ( big compass on the floor) there is nobody there. My logbook also tell that presonners are free and salt problem is dealth with but that I still need to cement the peace.

Just to let you know on this end. I played it this way on my last play through and, after doing EVERYTHING to cement peace (as per above), Veronica and McDade went hostile after I wiped out the rest of the Church (including the radio tower area). I found that, after it says to go view the peace process (or some such) in the Log Book, go to the main chamber in the Bastion (the one with the compass on the floor) to watch that, then you can go slaughter everyone else.

Do I need to kill the hostile NPCs near the radio tower and outside the main gate if I already watched the peace treaty being signed?

Make sure you freed the penitents, I killed the guards at the gate then destroyed the controls near it so it stays open then talked to a penitent and they escaped, then talk to Maggie.
