I would love to see some other people's background stories for their characters.

I only made 3 of my 4 dudes backstories because I based them off friends who wanted them :P

Sister J

A nun by profession, a pacifist by declaration, blind by creation. No one quite knows how she manages to survive in the wasteland; let alone how she does it so well. One thing that is known that Sister J is not to be taken for an easy mark. More than capable of defending herself against aggressors, this nun with a gun has made scores of sinners repent at Death's doors.

Osiris

With self porclamations of being the finest physician in all the wastes, it should come as no surprise that Osiris is as popular as he is handsome. His feats of medical miracles are well known throughout the land with rumours of this wonder doctor prevalent throughout many communities in need.

It should be said however that many who claim to have... 'utilised' his services may leave you wondering if the rumours were started by himself. But hey, they're mostly alive still. That's what counts, right?

Incia

Not much is known about the man known only as Incia. Questions about his past are usually met with the sharp end of a broken bottle. Still, his particular set of skills usually doesn't warrant such kind of small talk. When someone needs someone dead, Incia is the man to turn to... no questions asked.

Franklin Jones

Born in the trade town of Goodsprings, Being the youngest of 4 brothers, Franklin Jones has had a tough life. During his childhood his raider father would beat him, when he was acually around that is. three out of his four brothers ended up dead by the time Franklin was ten, the other one he doesn't know what happend to him. The only joy Franklin got out of his childhood was playing with his buddy, Mitch, and pretending to be Rangers around town. Ever since he saw Mitch's sister leave to go join the Dester Rangers, its been a dream of his (and Mitch's) to join the Rangers. On Franklin's 17th birthday, he and Mitch left town for the first time. For 3 years Mitch and him wondered the wastes, training to become Rangers. At the age of 20, Franklin finally accomplished his goal of becoming a Desert Ranger. Now he's in charge of a four man Ranger Squad.


Mitch "Doc" Robertson

Also born in the town of Goodsprings, Mitch "Doc" Robertson, was born into the family of the town doctor. Having a doctor for a dad allowed Mitch to discover his real passion, medicine and helping people. Mitch, being wealthy, would help out his buddy Franklin whenever he needed it. During his childhood, he and Franklin would receive weapon training from Mitch's sister. They continued their weapon training, and Mitch helped his dad operate on the wounded, until his sister left town to become a Desert Ranger. Never knowing what happened to his sister, Mitch is always on the look out for clues to her whereabouts. At the age of 16, him and Franklin set off to become Desert Rangers, only to get lost for 3 years. After finally finding the Ranger Citadel, Mitch became the squad's medic.


Ash

Ash is a ex-con. He grew in a pack of nomads, that wondered the wastes. He doesn't remeber his mother or father. All he knows is that they abandoned him and left him with these nomads. During his childhood the nomad people just raised him and treated him like their own. After 16 years of living with a tribe of nomads, he got tired of moving around so much. Deciding to leave, Ash went out into the wastes, where he found the town of Detrum, where he became an infamous criminal. Ash isn't a bad person, he just had a bad life, has no money and has had to resort to stealing. After a couple years in Detrum he was finally caught by the local sheriff. The sheriff threatened to kill him, but he gave him another option: Leave town, and join the Rangers. So he did.


Wolfwood

Wolfwood was born into a religious cult who worshiped a nucleaer bomb and the atom. Being forced to follow his family's faith and the cult's rules, Wolfwood tried to escape at the age of 10. The cult leaders did not want him to leave, so they convinced everyone that he was the Anti-Christ here to disable their god, the nuclear bomb. When he was almost free, he was caught by some of the Cult memebers who wanted to burn him alive. Fearing for his life, Wolfwood killed both his captors, one of which was his father. After killing two people, Wolfwood ran for his life into the wastes. After a couple of days of living on his own, Wolfwood came across an old Cathloc church where he met a nice preist who took him in. During his time with the priest, he was taught how to survive, how to use guns, and about the Cathloc religion. After being hesitant to be a part of another religion, Wolfwood finally came around. Wolfwood is now part of the Desert Rangers, where he spreads peace and the word of God. After leaving the Church, Wolfwood never saw the priest again.




I also have made 10 other characters, each with backstorys a little shorter than these.

Out of curiosity, is there a bit of Fallout influence in your characters and maybe a little Trigun? :)

Yes, couldn't think of a good name for the town. and the Wolfwood character is based off of Wolfwood from Trigun

All of my 4 rangers were orphans and recently had amnesia. All they remembered is how they suddenly were at a funeral of a complete stranger.

This kinda makes me hope there will be mod tools and workshop support in the future. Would be cool to make your own personal quests for your characters :)
