How to save Anna Hegedus?

Well, considering this game goes for old RPGs, there must be a way to save her. I mean, cmon, we got a cure for cancer, for flesh-eating plantspores and a zombie-decease, but we cant heal her?

Ive read, that you arent fast enough if you try to get the cure from Dantona and even with a Lv10 surgeon and every kind of medical item (Even advanced trauma kits) i still cant help her.

It would be kind of logical, if there wouldnt be some sort of cure for basically EVERYTHING in the world of Wastelands 2 aside from this one particular illness.
